Program or Intervention Summary

The Erika’s Lighthouse Prevention Programs for students in grades 4-12 are a suite of three, no-cost, skills-based classroom programs designed for educators to empower their students with an introduction to mental health, depression-literacy, suicide prevention, help seeking and mental health promotion.

Level I: We All Have Mental Health – ideal for students in grades 4-6

Level II: Depression Awareness – ideal for students in grades 5-9

Level III: Depression Education and Suicide Awareness – ideal for students in grades 8-12

These evidence-informed programs are tier-1, universal programs, designed to educate every student. They promote good mental health and the prevention, early identification and early intervention of youth mental health issues. The classroom programs are video-based, made up of 1-4 lessons, flexible to allow for grade-level crossover and meet requirements for mandated mental health and suicide prevention education in many states.
