SAMHDA holdings consist mainly of data derived from surveys and administrative records. These data were originally collected for specific research or administrative purposes. The holdings contain over 120 studies and 425 downloadable data files.

PeoplePreventSuicide.org aims to provide student leaders, counselors, safety and health professionals, parents, spiritual leaders, senior administrators, faculty/staff, friends and media with toolkits on how to prepare for the prevention of and response to suicide on college campuses. The website offers such resources.

This overview presentation reviews data by age, gender, state, and methods. It lists major risk factors and settings to access the at-risk population (including long-term care). It covers population-oriented and high-risk approaches for prevention.

Depression: Overcoming stigma

This resource includes archived slides and a recording of a webinar discussing overcoming both public and self stigma so that depression can be effectively addressed.

Responding to crisis at a school

This extensive (161 pages) resource aid provides guidance on crisis planning and response as well as violence and suicide prevention through whole school approaches involving crisis teams. It also summarizes evaluations on crisis team effectiveness. The collected handouts target staff, students, and parents.

Center for Community College Student Engagement (CCCSE)

CCCSE, a research and service initiative of the Program in Higher Education Leadership in the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin provides information about effective educational practice in community colleges. The Center assists institutions and policymakers in using information to promote improvements in student learning, persistence and attainment.

National Center for American Indian and Alaska Native Mental Health Research

The National Center for American Indian and Alaska Native Mental Health Research (NCAIANMHR) is the only program of this type in the country focusing specifically on American Indian and Alaska Native populations. The NCAIANMHR has four major program functions: research, research training, information dissemination, and technical assistance.
