BIPOC Mental Health Month

July 08, 2022

News Type:  Weekly Spark, Weekly Spark Announcement

July is dedicated to spreading awareness about the mental health needs of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). BIPOC communities have experienced a history of oppression that continues today with racism, prejudice, and inequity in our institutions. We recognize this presents mental health challenges unique to BIPOC communities. This month, join us in highlighting resources that help address these specific mental health needs:

  • Find information on health disparities, standards to advance behavioral health equity, and cultural competency for behavioral health professionals.
  • Connect to mental health resources for BIPOC communities.
  • Download the BIPOC Mental Health Month 2022 toolkit.
  • Learn how to support diverse communities.
