The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) has announced its annual Out of the Darkness Overnight Walks to raise awareness for suicide prevention. This year’s events will take place in San Diego on May 20, and in Washington, D.C., on June 17. Participants will walk more than 16 miles from dusk until dawn, sharing experiences and making connections with one another. In addition to drawing attention to suicide prevention, the walks will raise funds for research, educational programs, advocacy efforts, and support for those affected by suicide. Registrants should use promo code SPARK to receive 50 percent off the registration fee and a $100 fundraising credit.
