New CDC Report: Suicide Rates and County-Level Factors

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has published a report on suicide rates and selected county-level factors using national data from 2022. The report found that suicide rates were lowest in counties with the highest health insurance coverage, broadband Internet access, and income. These factors were more strongly associated with lower suicide rates in some disproportionately affected populations.
