Breaking the silence in the workplace: A guide for employers on responding to suicide in the workplace

This guide is designed for employers and helps organizations to increase their understanding and confidence in responding to suicide in the workplace. Through this understanding, employers can reduce or minimize impacts on workplace outcomes.  The guide explores what is involved in supporting employees bereaved through suicide and other practical information about responding effectively to suicide in the workplace. Sections examine four workplace suicide and offer practical approaches for each one and developing and implementing a bereavement policy to deal with suicide in the workplace.
