This training is designed to increase the competence of EMS providers in responding to individuals who are suicidal or at high risk for suicide. It includes best practice procedures specific to EMS providers, interactive case scenarios, and discussion on how to integrate key community services for an effective and comprehensive response. It is six hours and can be tailored for specific audiences. The intended audience includes EMS providers/first responders and fire and safety, search and rescue, and disaster response teams. Participants may include administrative staff, chiefs, superintendents, dispatch, and other responders in a department or facility.
