UTAH: Beating Utah’s Grim Suicide Statistics: LGBT-Focused Center to Open in St. George

A suicide prevention center for LGBT youth and families is opening a third location in Utah. Encircle offers counseling, wellness programs, and support groups for youth and parents. The center aims to address clients’ needs by ensuring that its services and programs are culturally competent. “I think that’s kind of why Encircle’s approach has been working well,” said Encircle founder and CEO Stephanie Larsen. “We believe in meeting people where they are and having conversations around the community’s belief system.” Encircle’s newest location is due to open by the beginning of 2020.
