Trends in Emergency Department Visits for Nonfatal Self-inflicted Injuries among Youth

A new study published in JAMA describes trends in emergency department visits for nonfatal self-inflicted injuries among youth ages 10 to 24 in the U.S. between 2001 and 2015. Study authors are affiliated with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (Injury Center). The National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance) has released a statement in response to the findings.
