This session of the Centers for Desease Control and Prevention (CDC) Grand Rounds discusses the strategies needed to promote broader awareness of suicide and the role that public health can play in identifying factors that reduce the risk of suicide, and in promoting actions and programs that protect people from engaging in suicidal behavior. Presenters will include Alex Crosby (CDC), Eric Caine (Injury Control Research Center for Suicide Prevention), Jarrod Hindman (Colorado Department of Public Health), and Jerry Reed (Suicide Prevention Resource Center). Continuing education credits are available. The session will be webcast on September 15, 1-2 p.m. ET.
