SPRC has just released a new SPARK Talk (short video), Men in the Middle Years, and the report, Preventing Suicide among Men in the Middle Years: Recommendations for Suicide Prevention Programs. The SPARK Talk features psychiatrist Jeffrey Sung, who discusses a population with a suicide rate more than double the national average: men between the ages of 35 and 64. The report contains a review of the research on suicide among men in this age range, recommendations that provide guidance for state and community suicide prevention programs, and a list of programs and resources.
