The Center for the Study and Prevention of Injury, Violence, and Suicide (CSPIVS) within the Health and Human Development Division of EDC has an opening for a full-time Associate Director for Communications (Associate Project Director) for the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, to be located in Washington, D.C. In collaboration with the CSPIVS Director of Communications and Product Development, the Associate Director for Communications (Associate Project Director) will be responsible for generating and executing a strategic communications strategy to increase awareness of the Action Alliance’s accomplishments and its partner organizations, as well as other CSPIVS efforts related to advancing the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. S/he will be responsible for both strategic oversight and executing tasks (e.g., creating collateral materials and proactive media engagement) in support of the missions for CSPIVS and Action Alliance. Candidates must have impeccable writing and editing skills, strong project management skills, a background in public health, digital design skills, and social marketing expertise. In addition, the candidate should be comfortable and effective working with and for executive-level leadership in both public and private sector organizations.
