Crisis Bed Registries to Assist People with Urgent Mental Health Needs

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD) are developing a registry of crisis intervention beds for people with serious mental illness. A shortage of inpatient beds is a barrier to effective care for people with urgent mental health needs.
