A recent commentary in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine suggests that the prevention of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) offers untapped potential for expanding and strengthening upstream suicide prevention. It provides an overview of suicide prevention strategies and suggestions for comprehensive programs that address ACEs. The commentary was coauthored by staff from SPRC and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (CDC Injury Center).
