Advancing Comprehensive Community Suicide Prevention: An Overview

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the Public Health Agency of Canada, and the Mental Health Commission of Canada are co-sponsoring a webinar that will identify evidence-based, comprehensive approaches to suicide prevention and highlight the work of the International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership and the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention. Speakers include Ed Mantler, the vice president of programs and priorities at the Mental Health Commission of Canada; Richard McKeon, chief of the Suicide Prevention Branch at SAMHSA; Stephanie Priest, director of the Health Promotion Chronic Disease Prevention Branch at the Public Health Agency of Canada; and Jerry Reed, director of SPRC. Eileen Zeller, lead public health advisor of the Suicide Prevention Branch at SAMHSA, will moderate. The webinar will take place on September 30 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET.
