Action Alliance Statement on CDC Mortality Data

The National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance) and its partners have released a statement in response to new mortality data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The data show a slight decline in age-adjusted suicide rates in 2019 compared to 2018. While this is encouraging, one year of data does not indicate a trend and robust prevention efforts are still needed.
