Kim Kane
Kim Kane, MPA, has worked in the field of suicide prevention in Idaho for 19 years. She the co-founder and Garrett Lee Smith project director for the Idaho Lives Project (ILP), which focuses on youth suicide prevention. Kane formerly served as the program manager for the suicide prevention program at the Idaho Division of Public Health. Prior to that, Kane was the program director for ILP. She is the co-founder and a former member of the Idaho Governor’s Council on Suicide Prevention and the former executive director of the Suicide Prevention Action Network of Idaho (SPAN Idaho). Kane is a certified trainer with the Sources of Strength youth wellness program, a recipient of the SPAN Idaho leadership award, and the author of the Suicide Prevention Fundamentals Instruction training program. She lives in Boise, Idaho, with her two sons.
