SPRC is pleased to release State Suicide Prevention Plans and Leadership Guidance. State suicide prevention plans have emerged as a key tool in suicide prevention efforts. This document can help state leaders develop a strong suicide prevention plan using the key elements and characteristics underpinning effective state plans.

This resource should be used in conjunction with the Recommendations for State Suicide Prevention Infrastructure, which describes the essential elements of state infrastructure, and the Comprehensive Approach to Suicide Prevention, which presents a combination of strategies to address suicide prevention across the lifespan.
