One-Year Anniversary of 988

July 16 marks one year since the country transitioned to a three-digit number for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (Lifeline). In honor of this anniversary, we encourage you to:

• Learn more about the Lifeline, including 988 services for specific populations such as veterans, Native people, and LGBTQI+ youth.

• Use the 988 Messaging Framework to plan and develop public messages about 988.

• Check out the 988 Partner Toolkit for communication outreach materials that can be tailored for your audiences, including social media shareables for the one-year anniversary.

• Share our selection of resources to help state, tribal, and territorial organizations and their partners implement the Lifeline.
