Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide in Veterans with Substance Use Disorders

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Services Research and Development Service (HSR&D) is hosting a webinar on cognitive behavior therapy for suicidal thoughts and behaviors in veterans with substance use disorders. Presenters will review the literature on the link between substance use and suicide, as well as the cognitive behavioral model for suicidal thoughts and behaviors. They will also provide descriptions of techniques and strategies to specifically target suicidal thoughts and behaviors among people with substance use disorders. The webinar will take place on June 12 from 3 to 4 p.m. ET.
