A Wyoming organization plans to distribute resources for survivors of suicide loss to coroners across the state. With a grant from the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming, the Grace for 2 Brothers Foundation is putting together information packets for families who have lost loved ones to suicide. The packets will include guides for working with insurance companies, suggestions for arranging funerals, information about grieving a suicide death, and mental health resources. “We wanted to provide an informational packet to families in Wyoming that have to go through the storm of losing a loved one to suicide so they won’t feel so alone and also to help guide them through one of the most trying times in their lives,” said Director of Operations Rhianna Brand. The grant will also help expand the foundation’s suicide LOSS Team, which provides immediate support to families after a suicide death. The Grace for 2 Brothers founder and many of its staff have lost loved ones to suicide, and are using their experience to try and help others. “We’re just starting to build this community of support for survivors of suicide loss,” said Brand. “We created something that we needed when we lost our loved ones.”
