Suicide Surveillance Within Health Care Systems and Beyond

This webinar was hosted by SAMHSA for National Strategy for Suicide Prevention and Garrett Lee Smith Youth Suicide Prevention grantees. Prior to the event, webinar participants viewed two podcasts featuring Dr. Cynthia Fontanella and Helen Anne Sweeney from Ohio, Jenna Heise from Texas, and Aaron Surma, with the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare. In these podcasts speakers describe their experiences using surveillance data to inform suicide prevention planning in Ohio and Texas. The live webinar featured a question and answer period between grantees and podcast speakers, presented material from SAMHSA and SPRC staff, and grantee discussion.
